I have passion for architectural design
It started in High School with drafting class, progressing to Architectural design class. Later I began to use what I learned to draw simple blueprints on paper with straight edges, rulers, and squares. Of course that was in the early 1980’s
As time progressed I began to draw in CAD, with a basic DOS based drawing program. Through the years I grew into using Chief Architect which is for architects and designers. Now I draw in Chief Architect X17 in 3D and color, to create a virtual reality view of what the client’s home can look like when we turn their dreams and imaginations into reality.
The process is as follows
1. Initial consultation to discus the broad scope of the project
2. A feasibility study if the project needs to involve building permits, to see if the local jurisdiction will allow the project to be built.
3. A time of measuring and taking photos from which to create a design.
4. Initial design drawings presented to the client for review, in 2D and 3D
5. Final drawings and plan sheets ready for submittal for permits if required.
6. A comprehensive bid written based on the design documents and all applicable codes.
7. Finally the construction stage, dreams become reality!

This is the 3d image created for the client in the design process, for a new fireplce with tile surround, and floating wooden shelves.

This is the photo of the finished project, fireplace and floating shelves. The tiles are large profile 24x36 with a marble look and no grout.

This is the photo of the finished kitchen. Client decided that she wanted floating heavy wooden shelves instead of wall cabinets and darker base cabinets.

This is one of the many 3d images created in Chief Architect for the client in the design process
